Tahani's Farewell Party Cupcakes

A friend of mine was throwing a surprise farewell party for our very close friend who's moving to Edmonton. She asked me to do the cupcakes for her and said to make them anything I wanted. No specific color or design. Since I rarely do fondant cupcakes, I gave it a shot. 

I wanted colors that are warm and elegant. Even though the order was small, they took a good 3 hours. I was told by the guests and my family that these are probably the best I've ever done, so it was worth the hard work. I loved the final results!

Abdu Wedding

Ahh, where shall I begin! These cupcakes were for a wedding in town, also my biggest order yet! I made 162 cupcakes, 320 flowers, and 4 different colors. It was certainly a lot of work, but it definitely paid off. I attended the wedding the next day and it was so nice having so many people coming up to me and telling me how great of a job I did.

Cupcake Bouquet

I've been wanting to do a cupcake bouquet for a while, finally here it is!

One of my close friends was having a surprise baby shower for one of her friends. She asked me to do the cupcakes for her, and since she didn't ask for anything specific I decided to give the bouquet a shot.I've watched a hand full of tutorials on how to make a cupcake bouquet but non of them had what I wanted. After a long day of research, I decided to come up with my own. :-D

Just a little side note, I've been asked often lately to do a tutorial, and I promise I will soon.

Now back to my main subject, I used 21 cupcakes for this bouquet. Although, for future projects, I think I'll be using more. The leaves are not edible, they're made out of silk-like fabric.

It breaks my heart to say that this master piece didn't make it to the baby shower. It fell an hour after the photo shoot, and I was so devastated. )-: But I am glad I got to take pictures of it before it happened. I ended up making the cupcakes below as my last minute backup. They're not nearly as fancy, but they had to do.

Cupcations Featured on 'Cupcakes Take The Cakes'!

As some of you know, my cupcakes were featured on Cupcakes Take The Cake earlier this month. This is by far the biggest thing to ever happen to me!

Rachel; one of the founding editors of Cupcakes Take The Cake, posted pictures of my Flowers & Viens and Simply Ganache cupcakes on her blog. I was certainly surprised and over joyed! (-:
